The Beta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the Monmouth College campus community. The world's largest autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Our Sisters look forward to increasing autism awareness on our campus and working with Autism Speaks. With 1 in 68 children diagnosed with autism and no known cure, Alpha Xi Delta is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism. This year, our Xi Man philanthropy event raised almost $12,000 for Autism Speaks!! We hope our fundraising and awareness efforts can help put one more piece of the autism puzzle in place.
Along with supporting Autism Speaks, our chapter does many community service events which you may find very exciting!
We plan an annual Easter Egg Hunt, which is where community children come to President Wyatts lawn and we have a hunt for them. We often help with various groups for girls in town including the YMCA's programs.
These are just a few of the many philanthropies that Alpha Xi's participate in! For more information, please contact our Philanthropy Chair, Abby Hubbard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
